At John Cabot University on occasion of the graduation ceremony an honorary degree will be given to Giuseppe Conte.Part of students and professors are expressing their concern about the choice, announcing a peaceful protest. The University environment consists of people from all over the world; it is multi-cultural and multi-religious; it has clubs like Queer Club, Ambientists’ Club; Women’s Club, Stand (collecting food and clothes for the homeless). All of these factors contrasts with what this Governement represents.
Both the Student Government and the Senate have sent President Pavoncello a letter, to which he has kindly answered that the students have a right to protest, but that it will have to occur without disturbing the regular ceremony.
